Installation & Technical Notes
The FA24 is a high-compression, direct-injected Boxer engine. To ensure a successful installation and maintain your warranty, please follow these technical guidelines:

Long Block Conversion: This sale includes the engine block, cylinder heads, and internal components. You must transfer your original USDM intake manifold, turbocharger assembly, intercooler, and wiring harness. This ensures 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your vehicle's ECU and emissions sensors.

Direct Injection & Fueling: Retain your original high-pressure fuel pump and injectors. If using JDM-supplied injectors, they must be verified for flow-rate compatibility with your local fuel grades (91/93 Octane).

RTV/Sealant Inspection: As with all modern FA-series engines, we recommend inspecting the oil pickup tube for any excess RTV silicone debris during the swap to ensure optimal oil pressure.

Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following parts during the swap:

Spark Plugs: Use only OEM Subaru/NGK Laser Iridium plugs (ILKAR8H6).

Engine Oil: 0W-20 Full Synthetic oil only (Strictly enforced for AVCS operation).

Oil Filter: Genuine Subaru "Black" Filter (15208AA170).

Coolant: Subaru Super Blue Long Life Coolant.

ECU Reset: After installation, use a professional scan tool to perform a "Learning Value Reset." This is critical for the ECU to adjust to the new engine’s volumetric efficiency and prevents "knock" during the initial break-in period.
