-
2013-2019 Nissan NV200 (S, SV, and Taxi models)
Note: While the MR20DE is used in the Nissan Sentra (2007-2012), the NV200 variant features specific mounting points and accessory layouts. This unit is hand-selected to match the NV200 chassis requirements.
Installation & Technical Notes
The MR20DE is a reliable "interference" engine. For a seamless swap into your NV200 or City Express, please follow these technical guidelines:
-
Long Block Conversion: This sale includes the engine block, cylinder head, and internal rotating assembly. You must transfer your original USDM intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, and wiring harness. This ensures 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your vehicle's ECU and CVT transmission sensors.
-
CVT Compatibility: Ensure the dowel pins between the engine and the Xtronic CVT transmission are correctly aligned. We recommend inspecting your transmission fluid and cooling lines during the swap.
-
Crank & Cam Sensors: We highly recommend using your original USDM sensors from your old engine to ensure the electrical connectors match your existing wiring harness perfectly.
-
Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following parts during the swap:
-
Spark Plugs: NGK Laser Iridium (DILKAR6A11).
-
Engine Oil: 0W-20 or 5W-30 Full Synthetic Oil (Check your oil cap for spec).
-
Thermostat & Water Pump: Essential for preventing overheating in stop-and-go city driving.
-
Serpentine Belt: Replace the belt and inspect the tensioner pulley.
-
-
ECU Reset: After installation, perform an "Idle Air Volume Learn" procedure using a scan tool to ensure a smooth idle under load.
