2004-2006 Subaru Baja EJ20X JDM Engine | 2.0L DOHC Turbo Motor (Replacement for EJ255)
Vehicle Specifications
• Engine Code: EJ20X (Dual AVCS / Quad Cam VVT)
• Displacement: 2.0 Liter (1,994cc)
• Configuration: Flat 4-Cylinder "Boxer" Turbocharged
Vehicle Fitments
• 2004-2006 Subaru Baja Turbo (BT Chassis)
• Swap Note: This is a JDM 2.0L replacement for the USDM 2.5L EJ255. It is a popular swap due to the scarcity and cost of USDM 2.5L blocks.
Included Parts
• Complete Engine Long Block (Block and DOHC Dual AVCS Heads)
• Intake Manifold & TGV Assemblies
• Fuel Rails & Injectors
• Turbocharger & Exhaust Manifold
• Alternator, AC Compressor, & Power Steering Pump (Bonus accessories)
• Coil Packs & Engine Sensors
Installation & Swap Notes
• USDM Conversion: You must us this as a long block and transfer everything over from the 2.5L for 100% plug-and-play ECU compatibility.
• Dual AVCS Wiring: The USDM Baja harness does not support Exhaust AVCS. Most installers either leave the exhaust cams unplugged (locked) or run additional wiring to a standalone or JDM ECU.
• Oil Pan & Components: You may need to transfer your original USDM oil pan, pickup, and specific sensors for fitment and ground clearance.
• Maintenance: We strongly recommend a new timing belt kit, water pump, and spark plugs before installation.
